We have down sized our rig! Said good bye to our 40 ft Tour this week and welcomed a 2017 Winnebago Aspect into the family. The model 30j has 3 slides and measure 32 ft. This class of rig is considered a low profile class C or a super B.
With the health issues that Ted experienced this summer he is not able to drive. Since neither one of us wanted to give up our nomadic life style we down sized to a rig Jan is comfortable driving.
Of course, the storage is much less on the new rig. We spent 7 days moving items from the old rig at the storage lot to the house....a car load at a time. Then parts of 3 days at the dealership moving the rest of the items over to the new rig. Boy! do we have a lot of junk.
The moving is done, but the rig is still at the dealer getting a satellite TV dish on the roof, roof vent covers, and a permanently mounted surge protector for the electrical system.
The motor is a Ford 450 (gas), but with enough power to still tow our VW Jetta. We are looking forward to our 1st trip, which will probably be to the FL Keys.
