Sail Boats on Grand Lake

 

Grand Lake is the largest natural lake in Colorado. There are two other lakes in the area....Shadow Mountain Lake and Lake Grandby, both of which are man made.

Couldn't resist posting this photo of this large bull elk along the mountain stream just inside the western edge of the park. Plenty of great scenes as seen with the snowy mountains and the stream.

Joe took this photo of Jan, Colby and Ted while we were in the middle of Shadow Mountain Lake, Grand County, Colorado. Note the snow covered Rockies even at the end of June.

Colby and Joe hauled their SeaRay up from Westminster to do some water skiing on the Grand Lake area lakes. As you can see, they braved the snowy run off and got up on their wave boards for some brisk and chilly fun. Even Max their dog got into the water but he didn't last as long as they did.
