The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore

In order to see the rock formations in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore we took a 3 hour cruises out of Munising's harbor area. Click on the photos to make them bigger, so you can see more of the colors made by minerals in the seeping ground water.

There is over 10 miles of spectacular sandstone cliffs that rise over 200 feet above Lake Superior in the National Lakeshore.

Although the Grand Island East Channel Lighthouse is a shadow of its original glory, it is one of the most photographed lights on the Great Lakes.  The lighthouse sits on Grand Island on private property, so can only be view from one of the boat cruises.
