On a shopping trip to Alpena ( the eastern coast of Michigan ) we got our first glimpse of Lake Huron. Temps had been in the low 90's in Hillman when we departed and by the time we had reached Alpena - about 20 miles east - the temps were a comfortable 81. Bet they have cold winters.
