Prophetstown State Park in West Lafeyette, IN

Prophetstown State Park named for Prophetstown, an Indian village founded in 1808 by Tecumseh and his brother Tenskwatawa ("The Prophet") north of present-day Lafayette, Indiana, which grew into a large, multi-tribal community.

Located within Prophetstown State Park, this farming and education center offering unique experiences on all aspects of farm life in the 1920s.

The farmhouse is a reproduction of a "Sears" catalog house.

The farmhouse and its furnishings reminded us of our Grandmother's houses...

Our FHU campsite at Prophetstown State Park...one of the best we have had on this trip. Prophetstown SP is Indiana's newest state park.
