Passing thro Georgia

Our first night out after leaving the WIT Rally in Lebanon, TN, was spent at the Navy recreation area on Lake Allatoona in northern GA.

Located only 30 miles north of Atlanta, Ga. Lake Allatoona, the serene lake and peaceful surroundings offer a respite from the rush of city living. It is one of the most frequently visited Corps of Engineers lakes in the nation. More than six million visitors each year

During our stay in Cordele, GA we went hunting for pecans and found a great fruit and vegetable stand..."Little Farmer's Market" in Leslie, GA.

The clerk was very knowledgeable and a helped us decide which of the many types of pecans to get. We choose "Pawnee", which has bigger nuts and seemed sweeter.
