Yuengling Brewery Tampa

What do you do on a rainy afternoon, but tour the Tampa location of America's oldest brewery, Yuengling..

In 1999 the old Stroh's Brewery in Tampa was purchased by Yuengling to expand productions.

Founder David G Yuengling from Wurttenberg, Germany settled in Pottsville, PA and established The Eagle Brewery in 1829.  The brewery's name was changed to DG Yuengling and Son in 1873.

This is where it all starts...23 days from barley to bottle!

The Tampa brewery produces 1200 cans an hour and 900 bottles a min when the lines are running...

Our tour guide, Susanne, gave us a very informative look at the brewery and history of the Yuengling Family.  The tours are given at no charge in both Pottsville and Tampa. The Pottsville Brewery was listed on the National Registry of Historic Places in 1986.

Yuengling is a moderately priced beer popular northward through New York, westward into Indiana and Kentucky, and southward through Georgia, where it has a large following. The Tampa brewery supplies the Florida Gulf Coast, the Florida Keys, Central Florida, North Florida, the Florida Panhandle as well as Alabama and Tennessee. The brewery uses corn from Minnesota and hopfrom Washington as ingredients in its products
