Niagara Falls, Rainbow Bridge & Maid of the Mist

While the campgrounds in Buffalo were overpriced and over-rated - Niagara Falls was not. We viewed the falls from the American side and they were spectacular. It's hard to imagine that there are idiots ( one guy did it twice and is planning a third event ) that have gone over these falls as "planned events." The $10K fine and jail time would be enough to stop me . You can see one of the boats ( Maid of the Mist ) in the distance - top right of this photo.


Rainbow bridge from the American Side ( R ) to the Canadian side ( L ) requires a passport to get across and into Canada. We viewed it from one of the many locations provided from Niagara Falls park.

There are more than one Maid of the Mist boats that will take you right up to the falls. The blue "items" on the deck are the people all dressed in the provided blue panchos. They are essential as you will get wet.
