Left Tampa Friday afternoon Dec 4th to met our friends, Ellie and Ernie & Linda and Ned, for dinner in Melbourne, FL the night before the cruise departure. But you know about "best made plans"..... arrived in Melbourne to find Ernie heading to a Quick Care facility with a medical emergency. Ernie and Ellie, are the friends we were to cruise with.
Ernie and Ellie did not make the dinner or the cruise! Ernie was admitted to the hospital Friday evening and was cruising there for 3 nights. Ernie was released on Monday and is back home doing well. Lesson.....be sure to pay travel insurance!
We did enjoy a great dinner with Linda and Ned, but the evening was topped off visiting the emergency room and finding out that our friends would not be joining us on our cruise adventure the next day.
Meeting location at Indian River Colony, At Ease Club, for the bus to Fort Lauderdale, Fl and Port Everglades .
