Photo of Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone. He also worked on the iron lung, the hydrofoil ( he had the fastest boat in the world at one time ), and airplanes and he and his father developed a system to teach deaf people to speak. He was tired of life in the US and so he moved his family to Baddeck, Nova Scotia - about 25 miles from our present location. His family/heirs still retain title to the Bell homestead "Beinn Bhreagh"( beautiful mountain ) overlooking Bras d'Or Lake.
