A Night at Coors Field

 

 

Views from our box seats at Coors Field thanks to Paul Kelley of Longmont Signs. Had a wonderful night of baseball even tho the Rockies lost to the Cardinals.

 
 
 
We're at the Casino Queen Campground in East St. Louis for a mini rally with friends. Note the St. Louis arch growing out of the top of our rig. Nice CG, very secure but kinda noisy. We enjoyed our time together - especially at the Big Mamma's restaurant where we all enjoyed their 2lb pork steak dinner - everyone had lots of left overs.

A Feast at Riagazzi's in St Louis

 

We had more than enough great Italian food at Riagazzi's located on the "Hill" in the Italian area of St Louis. Our friends, Rusty and Joanne, know all the good spots & how to get there.

On the TN/KY Border

 

Enroute to our next stop - Paducah, KY - we stopped to say hello to Drew Graham - the GM of a new Pilot Station. We were stationed with Drew's parents, Bill and Nancy Graham a few years ago. OK long before Drew was even born. Had a nice chat and then we were off.

Twin Lakes Catfish Farm & CG

 

Spending three nights here in Baxter, TN, about ten miles from our RV dealer in Cookeville. Picked up our new rig on Friday, so spending our time here getting everything relocated and settled before heading West.
Twin Lakes is a very interesting campground located on the property is a nice cafe, outdoor stage, horses and two small lakes where they raise catfish and have pay fishing. Saturday nights there is a fishing tournament. The photo shows one of the lucky young fishermen with 6+ lb catfish.

Andersonville National Historic Site in Georgia

 

 

 

 

Anersonville or Camp Sumter as it was officialy know, was one of the largest Confederate military prison estabished during the Civil War. Built in 1864 after Confederate officials decided to move the large number of Federal prisoners kept in and around Richmond, Va, to a place of greater security. During the 14 months the prison existed, more than 45,000 Union soldiers were confined here. Some 13,000 died from disease, poor sanitation, malnutrition, overcrowding, or exposure.

Bellingrath Gardens & Home outside Mobile, AL

 

 

 

 

A beautiful Spring day for touring Bellingrath. Bellingrath home was completed in 1935 after the gardens had been established. The Bellingraths made their millions by starting one of the 1st Coke bottling franchises in the USA.

We had a wonderful reunion dinner with Dennis and Olivia Baber...it had only been 30 years. Dennis and Olivia are old friends from our PI and San Diego days!!!!
