The Kids Have Arrived in Grand Lake

The "Kids" have arrived in Grand Lake the Ted's 70th Birthday Surprise!! They came in from Washington DC, Knoxville, TN and Denver.

 

Our New Site at Elk Creek Campground

We moved to a new site.  Our 1st location was fine, but only a 30amp electric connection. With new owners taking over the campground August 1st, they were able to move us to a very nice 50amp site. The new site backs up to the creek and we have a very nice yard...plus the fire ban has been lifted, so now we can have campfires.....

As you can see Patches is the center of everything!!!

A Saturday Afternoon in Grand Lake, CO

Elk Creek Campground....Lighting Strike!

Sunday afternoon we had a very bad storm come through the Grand Lake area. The dogs jumped in my lap when lighting hit the transformer directly behind the MH. From the sound thought we had been hit...a little to close for comfort.

 And 2 hours later the power was back..just before dark.... BIG THANKS to the Mt Parks Electric crew!

Summer Refreshment.....

 

Made a trip to Granby, CO to restock!!!!  This supply of cool drinks will last us into the winter.. Now we just have to figure out where we will store it all in the RV.

Grand Lake, Colorado, Lazy Summer Days!

Luckily we have been getting more afternoon rains in Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park, so the campfire ban has been lifted in Elk Creek Campground and the National Park.

 

Scout's nose keeps here busy here with all the little voles and chipmunks. She hangs out in the grass waiting and she has actually caught a couple...

Steamboat Springs, Colorado Golf Outing

 
The Grand Lake, CO Golf Men's Club made the 98 mile trip for a day of competition in Steamboat Springs, CO.
