Busy Week At Our House In "On Top Of The World"

Chuck from Budget Blinds installed plantation shutters on "All" our windows.

Mikell came and activated the house security system.....

Jan got her tropical furniture delivered from Hudson Furniture.  As you can see we still have a few pictures to hang, but we are getting there.

Furniture for the courtyard is pretty much in place...

We are now true Floridians with a privacy screen on the garage...

The stove just had a vent cover with fan, so we upgraded to a new over the range Convection Microwave.  We had really missed not having this appliance. The one in our motor home has spoiled us.

Took a break this afternoon and visited the miniature train Christmas display at Circle Square Commons just a golf cart ride away form our house. 

 Now we are ready for the Christmas Holiday!

Out and About in Ocala

Taken during one of our many trips to Lowes.  Also, have seen people with their dogs wandering the aisles.  Because of the warm weather here animals are allowed in many of the stores, so they won't be left in hot cars.

We were introduced to a great Mexican market and restaurant, Pepe's, by our friends, Karen and Pete Peterson.  Had to get fresh made tamales for Christmas Eve! 

Cameron and Elise's Thanksgiving Trip

Cameron and Elise spent Thanksgiving week north of the border. Their travels took them to Montreal, Mont Tremblant and Quebec City. Here are just a very few photos of a great trip!

Kari and Curtis Celebrate Their Shared Birthday at Joyful Journey Springs & Spa

What a way to celebrate your Birthday with scenic vistas and hot springs.... 

Kari and Curtis drove to Moffat, CO and spent the night at Joyful Journey Springs & Spa to mark their Nov 16th Birthdays.

Joyful Journey Hot Springs are located in the San Luis Valley of south central Colorado.

With unpacking after our move into our new Ocala home, I've gotten way behind on my posts. These photos were sent to me by good friend, Lucy Simons, taken several weeks ago at Whitney's baby shower in Kingsport. Above photos shows Colby and Stella having a good time at the celebration.

Ted and Jan's New Golf Cart

Moving into a 55+ community means it is time to get a golf cart. We wanted something fun, up beat and not easy to loose in a parking lot.  

Luckily, we hooked up with Bob Holcombe, who was willing to go along with our whims

TUCO

There has been a short break in our posts with us moving into our new house in Ocala, FL. Right before the closing on our new home we lost our two travel buddies...Scout and Patches. We had to put Scout down just before we left Tampa because of failing health. Two nights later Patches died in his sleep..we think because he was missing Scout? So last Saturday we visited the Humane Society and adopted TUCO.  He is a mix of Shit zu and Maltese or Dachshund?? Tuco is about 2 years old and 11 lbs of "love". 

We had him groomed today.  Above is his before photo and below is after his spa trip.

Ocala Sun Fire Caused by Norcold Refrigerator

We were awakened Friday at 2:30 AM with a neighboring motorhome on fire about  45 ft from the rear of our rig.  Luckily the wind was blowing away from us, so did not have to make an emergency move.

 

Fortunately there was no one in the rig.  The owners were away babysitting their grandchildren.

Anyone with a Norcold  Refrigerator in your RV needs to have it checked.  There is a recall out because of this fire hazard with the Norcold!!!
