Elk Creek Campground....Lighting Strike!
Sunday afternoon we had a very bad storm come through the Grand Lake area. The dogs jumped in my lap when lighting hit the transformer directly behind the MH. From the sound thought we had been hit...a little to close for comfort.
Mountain Parks Electric to the rescue!
And 2 hours later the power was back..just before dark.... BIG THANKS to the Mt Parks Electric crew!

Summer Refreshment.....
Made a trip to Granby, CO to restock!!!! This supply of cool drinks will last us into the winter.. Now we just have to figure out where we will store it all in the RV.Grand Lake, Colorado, Lazy Summer Days!
Luckily we have been getting more afternoon rains in Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park, so the campfire ban has been lifted in Elk Creek Campground and the National Park.
Scout's nose keeps here busy here with all the little voles and chipmunks. She hangs out in the grass waiting and she has actually caught a couple...

We had visitors last night right outside our motor home....they were just looking for dessert!
We have had a few afternoon thunder storms, but still very dry. There will be no fireworks in Grand Lake this 4th....no camp fires either!!
