Kari helping pick out the marble and new kitchen sink .... she's our color expert
Photo of the "TN Foster Clan" on an all too infrequent get together. L-R Kari, Jan, Ted Colby and Cameron as taken in our back yard.
Cameron getting his too long "locks" shorn and shaped by Jessica Buchanan at Hair Benders. Sister Kari ( right ) and mom are yelling - "shorter, shorter, more off, more off".

This is what got replaced by the Buck Gas Stove - our old faithful Vermont Castings. It was a booger to get out. Now we just need someone to buy it.
Here's the new fireplace replacing the Vermont Casting Wood burner. It's capable of 33,000 BTU's and requires no log cutting, splitting, hauling or dust/ash picking up. Should be a toasty addition to the family room.

When the cabinets came out, there was a need to paint the kitchen ceiling. Ok now that we've painted the ceiling, there appears to be a need to paint the entire house ceiling..... damn it!!!!!

End of the first day with Johnny's crew. Note some of the ceiling lights are in place plus they put a ceiling light and heater into the middle bathroom. It's starting to take shape.
Here's Johnny and his crew of electricians with the two flourescent lights and capice hanging lamp removed and they're cutting the holes for the recessed lighting. There was so much to do they finally quit at 1830 and plan on returning on Monday to maybe finish.

The new pass through from the dining room area looking into the still gutted kitchen. Jan is checking out the opening and wondering if she'll ever see her new stove top. There was so much dust in the air that it settled on the lens of the camera.
Here's Mike trying to figure out how to hook up the drain on the front bathroom Jacuzi Tub. Johnny the electrician will be here tomorrow - Friday 15 Dec to do some wiring but the side splash walls will be here at some later date.
Here's Mike and Steve taking out the front bathtub. We're making progress but we just lost our second dishwashing sink in less than 24 hours... We're getting nervous. Oh well there's always paper plates and plastic ware.
Here's Pete and Mike ( ReBath of Sevierville, TN ) with the Dalmation bathroom disaster well under control. They're both having too much fun from the look on their face. Note the burnt 2x4 timbers just behind Mike. Yeah, the house had a nice fire before we owned it.
Sentence has been passed. Death by fire in the backyard. Here's Steve and Paul and Jan getting warm and enjoying a little December bonfire.
Here's our "custom" made mostly plywood cabinets out on the back patio awaiting their "sentence."
Now Jan gets into the mix while Steve Taylor lines out where the hole in the wall should be cut for the "passthrough".
Paul and Steve joined by Steve Taylor ( Kitchen Sales ) get the project really underway.
Paul Strong and Steve Jones ( of JustCallSteve ) are into demolishing our kitchen cabinets. This is 13 Dec 06
Here's the middle bath/tub/shower. There must have been a sale on blue bath tubs cause we had two. Colby decorated this when she was in her dalmation phase. Note the red fire chiefs hat on the wall above the towel racks and the spots on the wall ( dalmation spots ).
You can see that we were not to be called "color challenged" as we matched the shower with a nice blue commode.
This was the front/guest bath tub shower. Note the very modern ( pure 70's ) blue bathtub.
Last view of the "Old Kitchen".
Another view of the kitchen and laundry room ( far right ) just prior to Ted & Jan removing all the cabinet doors and the hardware.
The photo of our kitchen - when we had a kitchen. Photo taken 12 Dec.
