Farewell to Travelling companions

Woody had a sad look on his face as he bid farewell to the Chevy Suburban and our Titanium 36E41KB 5th wheel unit. After 3 Titaniums over an 8 year period, we have taken the plunge and purchased a Class "A" Motor home. The Ti and Truck are now waiting for a new owner at Bill Plemmons RV World in Rural Hill, NC. Woody will adjust to his new surroundings - so will we.

Mast General Store

The Mast General Store is located about 20 miles from our condo in Banner Elk, NC and 10 miles from Boone, NC. This mountain community has the original Mast General Store. They have all sorts of neat items for sale: ie candies you ate as a kid, shaving mugs and brushes, mountain clothing. It's worth a visit and give youself plenty of time to browse the Valle Crucis, NC landmark.

Family Photos in Lafayette, CO

The first photo shows Colby, Joe(Colby's fiancee) & Jan in front of Jean and Gerry's house in Lafeyette, CO

We did get to see the "kids" and decided a photo was in order as we don't see them that often. They joined us to help clean out Grandma Whitcombs apartment at Frazier Meadows. Their assistance was most welcome.

cameron's birthday

We had to cut short our work camper tour in Thunder Bay, Hillman, MI when we learned that Grandma Whitcomb had passed. We headed to Boulder and the Colby, Camereron & Kari joined us and the one bright spot was that we were able to celebrate Grandma's life and Cameron's birthday. Nowadays it's weddings, funerals and maybe birthdays that gets the clan together.
